Books
- Vihveen Sadi Di Sikh Rajneeti: Ik Ghulami Ton Duji Ghulami Tak (roughly, "Sikh politics of the twentieth century: from one slavery to another"), published by Singh Brothers, Amritsar. A library catalogue lists a third edition dated 2004, 471 pages.
- 1984 Unchitviya Kehar ("1984: the unimagined catastrophe"), also from Singh Brothers. Sikh Siyasat released an audiobook of it in June 2018, with the author recording the introduction himself.
- Editor of Sikh Drishti Da Gaurav, thirty essays by Dr Gurbhagat Singh written between 1985 and 2015, which he and Prof Gurmeet Singh Sidhu released at Punjabi University, Patiala, on 18 April 2019.
Public talks, and what he argued
- Punjabi University, Patiala (2016): at a student seminar on the Sikh Genocide of 1984, he argued that denial and concealment go with genocide, and that labels such as "goons" and "killer mobs" hide who carried out the killings. He said genocides come from a "genocidal impulse" in a society that turns aggressive under certain conditions, and that the killings of November 1984 were a direct result of such an impulse in Hindu society once it held political power. Sikhs and other minorities of the subcontinent, he said, need to understand this to survive.
- Panjab University, Chandigarh (15 November 2018): at the seminar "Phenomenon of Genocide in Modern Era" he argued that the Western model of the state is failing and feeds genocide. People are restrained by fear of God, fear of law and fear of an opponent's power; the modern state has rejected religious authority, and a state that commits or backs genocide has no fear of law and far more power than its victims, so the crime ends in impunity. Remembrance of 1984, he said, deserves credit but is not enough, and Gurbani offers a vision in which the authority of the state can be checked.
- Mansoordeva, Ferozepur (31 October 2018): at a Shaheedi Samagam he argued that the court case against Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh exposed the shallowness of the Indian system and showed there was not even marginal relief for struggling nations.
- Sydney (23 June 2019): "Lessons of Ghallughara June 1984 for Sikhs", at a diwan at Glenwood Gurdwara Sahib.
- Caste (May 2020): in an interview with Sikh Siyasat he argued that the Gurus did not end caste by social reform but by spiritual enlightenment, that groups practising caste discrimination have drifted from the Gurus' ideals, and that the remedy is "spiritual regeneration, and not a mere social reform movement".
- Kotkapura (2017 and 2019): two talks for the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, on the causes of the Panth's divisions and on "Organisation and Leadership: Unity versus Uniformity".
- Amritsar (29 April 2025): a speaker at the Dal Khalsa seminar at Bhai Gurdas Hall marking the 39th anniversary of the 1986 Khalistan Declaration.
Pro Punjab TV has also published an interview with him on the major events of the Kharku and Naxalite movements.
What he is known for: a Punjabi-language body of writing and speaking that reads Sikh political history from the fall of the Khalsa state in 1849 onward as a passage from one slavery to another, and that reads 1984 as a genocide to be understood rather than only remembered. His views above are his own, as reported by the outlets cited.
