Rajwinder Singh Rahi
ਰਾਜਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਹੀ
Punjabi writer and researcher on the Ghadar movement; Sikh Siyasat News credits him with three books, among them Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna's autobiography, and with working alongside Bhai Ajmer Singh.
Rajwinder Singh Rahi is a Punjabi writer and researcher on the Ghadar movement. Sikh Siyasat News, in a review by Jaspal Singh Sidhu of Bhai Ajmer Singh's book Ghadari Babe Kaun San? (14 October 2013), says that a critical article by Sewak Singh, a Punjabi University research scholar, in the weekly Sikh Shahaadat questioned the accepted account of the Ghadar Party. Its reception led Sikh intellectuals to ask why Sikhs formed most of the party's membership. These questions, the review says, prompted Rahi to take up a serious study of the movement.
The review says he researched old records and documents and produced three books on the subject: Ghadar Lehar Di Asli Gatha ("Real Story Behind the Ghadar Movement"), parts one and two, and Meri Ram Kahani, the autobiography of Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna, founder president of the Hind Association of the Pacific Coast, later known as the Hindustan Ghadar Party. It adds that Bhai Ajmer Singh guided Rahi and collaborated actively in his research, and later published his own book on the Ghadar Party.
