Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Bal
Ontario child and youth care academic at Centennial College and journal editor; listed as a World Sikh Organization officer for Ontario and a panellist at the 2026 anti-Sikh hate report launches.
Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Bal is an Ontario educator and community organiser. A Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine committee page describes her as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner and as Chair of Child and Family Studies at Centennial College (its biography calls her the department's Associate Dean), with a practice built around youth work with underserved populations across North America. She is a living person, and this profile is limited to what published pages say.
- She is the editor of the Relational Child and Youth Care Practice Journal.
- The same page lists her as Vice President, Ontario, of the World Sikh Organization and describes her as a regional member of its Ontario chapter. The WSO's current team page does not list her.
- April 2026: she was named as one of two academics, with Dr. Sonia Aujla-Bhullar, on the panels for the launch of the WSO's report Understanding and Addressing Anti-Sikh Hate in Canada, announced for Surrey (24 April), Calgary (25 April) and Winnipeg (26 April), alongside Senator Baltej Singh Dhillon, Gurtaj Singh Multani and Jagmeet Singh. Frequency News placed her on the panel at the first launch event.
Known for: her work in child and youth care in Ontario and her place on the panels that presented the WSO's national report on anti-Sikh hate.
